He is gracious and kind and wants us to have everlasting peace with Him. He wishes to bless us every day and to teach us how we can have an earthly life that is complete. At the end of this life, His ultimate desire is that we should spend eternity with Him.
The Bible says that all people are sinners. Sin separates us from God and will lead to our eternal death if not corrected. Unfortunately, we as mortals cannot deal with our own sins, but God has provided a path to salvation.
Jesus was sent by God to become a man, to save us from our sins, and to establish a link with Himself. Jesus lived a perfect life, but died the death of a sinner when He was unfairly tried and crucified. He was God's perfect sacrifice, given on our behalf and dying in our place. On the third day, He arose, amazing even His own followers and defeating forever the power of death.
Jesus now has the power to forgive our sins and grant us eternal life.
How do I become a Christian?
First, you can be sure that God loves you unconditionally and desires to have a personal relationship with you.
"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life."(John 3:16)
Second, you need to admit your sinful nature to God, because this is what separates all of us from Him.
"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God."(Romans 3:23)
Third, you should stop trying to please God through your own efforts and realize that salvation through the blood of Jesus Christ is a gift that none of us deserves.
"But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."(Romans 5:8)
